Happy New Year! Welcome 2011!

Mum and Dad decided to stay in for the big New Years Eve and bring the party to them. We hosted an Indian-themed dinner gathering of a few friends complete with Lamb Rogan Josh, Creamy Cardoman Chicken, Curried Prawns with Coconut and Lime, with sides of samosas, naan bread and popadums served with mango chutney and mint raita. Yep, it was yummy and warm, a great way to spend the last evening in 2010. We wish all our friends and family in New Zealand and abroad a very HAPPY NEW YEAR and we hope, hope, hope to see some of you in 2011, the year of the Rugby World Cup!
Here are some photos of our dinner guests:
Ali and Riley. Riley's dad is a fireman and was on duty so he couldn't make it to dinner.
Nick, Theo and Emily Holshauser. Mr. Nick has traveled to India and said mum's lamb rogan josh was very authentic indeed.

Uncle Harvest with his mom, Peggy Leasure.

Mum and me, I didn't get a red bindi, I think it's a girlie thing???
P.S. The next day we attended the traditional New Year Day good luck meal at Lauren and Matty's house. They serve black-eyed peas, greens, pork and cornbread with a quarter hidden inside. As luck would have it, daddy found the quarter, for the second year in a row! 2011 is destined to be great!!!
