Boys with Shovels

So what could possibly be better than a stick? A shovel of course.

One day when mom and I were playing in the sandbox, she noticed that a supporting beam on our porch was laying on the ground, hummm, not good. So we called Uncle Harvest and got things all fixed up the right way. Dad and I helped Uncle Harvest. We were the clean-up crew, filling in the holes along the new beams.

You like my gum boots and underwear look? Yep, I'm practicing wearing underpants.

Boys with Sticks

On Mondays I meet up with some pals in the forest in the morning. This Monday we took a walk along the Davidson River and ended-up at this great sandy beach. Given the unseasonably warm temperatures I put my feet into the river for the first time this year. It was cold! So I stayed out of the water, rock hopping with my cool stick, AKA sword!

Charlotte Pals

Mum wanted to add this one last photo just because it makes her smile, good friends!

Post Parade Activities I

We followed the parade to the end and then attempted to get on the train to head back to the beginning were everyone was parked, but alas, we kept missing the train going in the direction we needed it to be going, so we walked along the path alongside the tracks, almost as fun. Here's Meg, Olivia and Nate.

Mum and I went back to Jolene and Laura's place where we were parked. We got to cool off, have some lunch and play with Laura's toys. I especially enjoyed her dolls.

I gave Jolene a big hug thanks and goodbye. I hope they will come visit us in Brevard soon!
This should end the St. Patrick's Day blog posts. All and all it was a great holiday!

After Parade Festivities II

We had a bit of bad luck connecting with Ashley and her nieces uptown at the parade so we stopped into her home for a quick visit, at least we knew how to find her that way! She took this close-up of me.

Mum dropped me off with Great Paula and Uncle Bill for some downtime after our full day. Then she left with AUnt Brandi and Uncle Chad for some dinner and drinks, lucky girl.

Mum also got to visit with her cousin Ben and see his new place. He is Paula and Bill's youngest son, my 1st cousin once removed I'm told.

Lovin' a Good Parade

Aunt Brandi should have brought Jax and Joey out for the parade, look at all these goldens!
Meg & Nate, Jolene & Laura, mum's old pals and my new pals, enjoying the festivities.

Look, a Rugby Team! Awesome, give me some beads boys.

I stood in this place, in this position for at least 30 minutes.

Ri-Ra hosted a cool dancing leprechaun.

St. Pat's Day Parade...on Saturday the 19th

Mum and I traveled down to Charlotte to continue our St. Patricks' Day celebration, two days after the actual holiday. Charlotte hosts a big parade and we met Uncle Pat uptown for some fun in the sun. I take my parade's very seriously as you will see in the following photos.

Downtown St. Paddy's Day Festivities

Mum and Ms. Lindsay enjoying the mandatory St. Pat's Day pint.

Chillin' with the Colleens.

Taking in some Celtic tunes.

The traditional drink from the big, green mug.

Corned Beef and Cabbage for dinner at Kiwi Gelato with friends.

Little Leprechaun

I was in the holiday spirit all day and into the evening. Here I am enjoying some holiday gelato, well, actually dad wouldn't let me have the Guiness Gelato nor the Irish Cream gelato, so I had the Lemon, not overly Irish, but I did wear the headband while I feasted, that should count for something.

Signs of Spring

Mum picked me up from school on St. Pat's day and we walked from school up to the shop. Along the way we stopped to admire many of the signs of spring. I hope spring is here to stay!
Flowers and greenery in front of the Main St. Limited building.

Stopping for a moment to smell the flowers.

Trees in bloom.

Daffodils, one of the first signs of spring in our neck of the woods. I really like these flowers and the holiday too.

Celebrating St. Patrick's Day at School

Top o' the mornin' to ya, I said to my teachers Ms. Joan and Ms. Suzanne that bright and sunny St. Patrick's Day. And what a great morning it was, playing with my friends, singing songs, running around, blowing bubbles, really living the life of one lucky little leprechaun.
I was trying to figure out how the "bubble machine" worked.

Mommy brought me this cool headband to show off. I definitely has the holiday spirit.

Catch the bubbles, run, run, run!

I got it!

Averie had the holiday spirit too! Not sure what I was doing behind her....

A Great Start to the Day, St. Paddy's Day

I woke-up on March 17th, put on my finest greenery and headed off to school on a beautiful holiday morning. St. Patrick's Day is always full of fun and today was no exception. Being a fan of blowing bubbles I was in awe at the teacher's ability to make giant bubbles using a really cool mechanism of some sort. When mum came to get me at school, I was not ready to leave, not at all!

Discovering Play Do

I love Play Do! It's so mushy and you can make all shapes and designs. I especially love making "worms" with the Play Do. Me and daddy made an oven using a cardboard box, so now I can bake all the creations, pretend of course.
