We arrived on the coastal end of N.C. around 2:00pm Sunday afternoon. We unpacked the car and assumed "beach positions", which is different for each of us.
To be fair, this picture of MiMi was taken later on in the day, after dinner, but it does depict one of her favorite beach positions.
I headed straight to the sand and dug myself into a hole, as the saying goes.
Mom heads straight to the beach with all necessary gear.
Daddy doesn't get anywhere near the beach. As usual, he finds a seat on the porch, sits down and deflates after a long, busy summer at the gelato shop.
