Kiwi Gelato Opens Its' Doors on Main St.

Thursday, February 18, 2010, Daddy decided it was time, and the doors opened for business to the new and improved KIWI GELATO shop. We are now on Main St., the big time, already doing better than last year this time. I am proud of all my dad's hard work and all the work our friends have done to get this new shop up and running. We have gotten lots of feedback on the decor and it seems to be a resounding thumbs up! I like the hot air ballons signalling the "kiddie corner." We are still a work in progress, but are confidant that the future looks bright. Come on in!

Hillside Ave. Reunion

You are probably wondering about "Hillside Ave." I guess that's the street Mommy lived on in Charlotte back in the late 90's with her pals Renee and JoBean. Renee was at mommy and daddy's wedding, I was at Renee and Mark's wedding, and JoBean married Greg on the same day as Mom and Dad so couldn't make it to Earthshine. Did you keep track of all that? Renee is having a baby boy sometime soon, as you can see, and mom says if we are lucky she may move to N.C someday. I didn't care for all their reminiscing, I was just interested in playing with Laura, JoBean's cutie daughter. I'm only 8 months older, and a few ounces heavier, perfect match!

Snow Days 2010 Part III

This posting is a bit delayed, it's been two weeks since the last snow, snow number 3. It was a nice snow this time, very powdery. Daddy swept the driveway rather than shovelling. I feel like a snow expert now. I bundle up and get out in it. You can seen in the photo I even run in the snow. Today it was 59 degrees and the snow is finally starting to melt, hopefully for the last time this winter. I'm ready for spring, bring it on!

Turn It Up Dude Alternative

I've been told my video isn't working for some of my fans so I've attached a couple of still photos of my new skill- turning up and down the volume on the CD player. I can really rock out now! Or, if it gets too much, I can turn it down and chill out. Aren't I clever?

Super Bowl Sunday Tailgating Party

Move your feet, lose your seat!
Hand-off to Coadwell, Coadwell tucks the ball and runs. He is unstoppable. He MAY...GO...ALL...THE...WAY!

How many men does it take to screw in a lightbulb? I mean BBQ a rack of ribs, 10 chicken wings and 6.5 lbs. of "tri-tip" beef? I guess the answer is 3.

Matthew throws a football like he shoots a basketball. Looks like Daddy is choosing to bogart the Stax instead of joining in the football fun. Oh, by the way, the New Orleans Saints beat the Indianapolis Colts 31-17. New Orleans hasn't stopped partying and they won't- Mardi Gras starts later this week!

Snow Days 2010 Part II

I got lucky this week. Two days in row Mommy took me to see the horses. This time I even got to feed one. I was so psyched. It appears the horse likes celery as much as me!

All Wheel Drive Red Wagon. Me and mommy braved the snow-ridden driveway and went for a walk in the wagon. It did great on the snow and ice. I enjoyed the rough terrain, very bouncy!

Score! The church parking lot across the street from us is always one of the first things plowed, especially if the snow falls just before a Sunday. They had their mini-loader AKA "digger" parked-up. I got to get real close and investigate it's huge tires and many gadgets. I was very disappointed when mommy made me leave the area!

Snow Days 2010 Part I

I like the snow best when the sun is out too. In this photo I am standing and swinging. Radical!
Sometimes the snow isn't so fun. I don't really like walking in the snow, I much prefer the trails that are made by the car. When I fall it's difficult to stand back up! My hands get so cold. Yuck.

Now we're talking. I can follow the trail and all is well in the world.

My most favorite thing to do these days is visit the "s" (horse, I'm challanged by the "h" sound, but the "s" sound is a breeze). Mommy and I will take a carrot to the horses. I feel bad that the snow makes it hard for them to get to the grass and hay. They always seem happy to see me.

Ready for the Snow

I've got my hat and my boots and I'm ready to go. I just need someone to open the door and let me into that glorious, fluffy white stuff called snow. Hey New Zealander's, like my hat?
