Looking for Lizards

On Thursday we received some much needed rain. There was hail too, but I'm not exactly sure we needed that, as well as loud, scary thunder and lightning. After the rain fall the earth felt so alive, bursting with new energy from the much needed drink. Mum and I headed over to our friend Lauren's house and went for a long "town" hike that took us up a big hill and onto the Brevard Music Center property. I put on my boots to splash in the puddles and little did I know that my "Looking for Lizards" shirt would be so literal. We spotted 7 bright, red newts (kind of like salamanders and lizard-like in shape and form). They were neat wee creatures and I did not get a photo of them, but here I am posing with a worm that I found later when we returned to Lauren's place.

Last Day of School Antics

Luke and I were having fun being silly on our last day in the Toddler Class Room. In August I will start in the
Two's Classroom, attending Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I had a great year. I made lots of new friends. Thanks Ms. Joan and Ms. Suzanne for everything!

Water Table

Ms. Joan and Ms. Suzanne set-up a water table for Water Day along with the two pools. Wylie and I had fun playing side by side.

I filled-up a pot with water and took it into the "kitchen" and placed it on the stove. I told mum I was cooking noodles for her for lunch.

Play Houses

Mum stayed at school today and helped out with the water activities as well as taking part in a mean game of The Three Little Pigs, my most favorite story these days. On the playground, we have play houses that were perfect for the game. The Big Bad Wolf, AKA Mum, would blow down one house and my friends and I, AKA "little pigs" would run for our lives over to another house.

Here is Averie and I hiding in the "straw house."
Here I am taunting the Big Bad Wolf from the security of the "wood house."

Here is Adam trying to cheer me up after the wolf got ahold of my tail on the way to the best house, the "brick house." I made it inside just in the knick of time, the Wolf was gaining momentum and looked awfully hungry.

The brick house saves us all, hahaha, wolf! You definitely can't get me now, I'm safe!

A Pool at School is Really Cool

Thursday was my last day of school. On top of that, it was "Water Day". I put on my togs, threw a towel into my froggy packback and headed out the door, not a normal school, but a very exciting one indeed.

I headed straight to the pool at school, super cool! Here is me and Luke having a play.

Booth and I enjoyed pouring water into the funnel and watching things move and turn to the waters force.

I really enjoyed this toy, as you can see. We have a smaller version at home in our sandbox. I need to ask mommy to put it in our pool.

School Field Trip

On Tuesday my entire class got to go to Kiwi Gelato for a field trip. Luke and I had Lemon and all the others choose Strawberry. It was chaotic and fun! I wasn't super excited when I had to leave the shop and return to school without mom, but luckily I have nice and nurturing teachers, Ms. Joan and Ms. Suzanne and I survived the departure. The perks of being in class with the kid whose parents own the gelato shop!

My classmates: Luke, Averie, Booth, Jack, Wylie and Justin.

Our Own Private Childcare Center

After baby Vesta was born, the three Cleveland boys hung out at our pad so their mom and baby sis could head over to the hospital. I was so excited when I awoke from my nap surrounded by pals. Atlas and Argo had to go elsewhere for sleep-overs but Odin got to stay with me, score! Gus came over too, and on Friday Ezra and her baby bro Silas showed up as mum had already promised they cold hang out, prior to the birth in the driveway scenario. So it was all go at our house!

Sandbox getting crowded.

Time for a wagon ride. Pull mom, pull! We're not heavy, we promise.

Dad talked mum into hiring a bit of help at the house, instead of the shop on Friday. Katie was very adept at play-dough and baby handling. Sorry, we didn't get a photo of wee Silas, but believe me, he is a cutie pie!
