Kiwi Gelato Hosts a Private Party

The guests awaited anxoiusly for the doors to open and the party to get started. Or, just a bunch of Brevard hoodlums hanging out on the street corner in front of our shop. Shoo!

Ru, James, Mae and Ellie enjoy some delicoius gelato compliments of the birthday girl and her family. NOw, that's a good party, free gelato!

Hey, you, the one wearing the tiara, who do you think you are helping yourself to our espress machine, the queen? Ok, I guess in a way you are the queen, for the day. Go for it, Latte's all around.

We loved the decorations in the shop, it have us lots of ideas for future parties. Thanks Geraldine for having a birthday and requesting the celebration take place at Kiwi Gelato. We loved having all our friends full our shop with lots of positive energy and laughter.

Steppin' out in my first soccer uniform. I'm number 3, just like Mommy.
"Put me in coach, I'm ready to play...., today....., look at me...., I can be....., goalie!"

Cutie-Pit-Tutie

Just hanging out with mom at home, the sunshine coming through the windows behind me. Mom thinks I'm cute, but I don't know, I really don't look in the mirror too often. Whatever.

Mommy's Bachelorette Backpack Trip

Lauren sporting her new hand-knit garter belt, compliments of the very talented Geraldine (mommy picked out the ribbon). What's a garter belt Daddy?

Well, I got left back at home for this trip and as you can see it's heaven on earth. Just seeing all those rocks on shore makes me salivate. I could throw rocks into the water for hours and hours. I hope she takes me to Panthertown sometime soon. She told me not to be fooled by the sunny photo it was cold that night, frost on her backpack in the morning and everything. Our friend Lauren is getting married and the overnight in the woods was her "Hen Party." Mommy said the campfire was huge, but unfortunately it didn't burn all night. Daddy says they will take me tent camping this summer maybe. Yeah! Oh, Tabitha was my babysitter Saturday nght. She said I was so "intelligent" she could hardly believe I was only 16 months old. And she's an unbiased expert.

Cove Creek Sliding Rock

A week ago Friday, it was 81 degrees outside, seems that spring skipped us and bestowed upon us summer, for a day or two anyway. We headed to Pisgah Forest for a picnic at Cove Creek. It has a really cool sliding rock and wading area, and lots of rocks just waiting to be thrown into the water!
I didn't slide down the rock, but I hung-out near the bottom a lot.

Mom didn't get any photos of me in the water as she was busy in the water with me, but I did get in, right in. I didn't care about my clothes, my shoes or the very cold water. I loved it! Every minute, except that minute when it got kind of deep and I fell over-oops!

Easing in after my fall. I got a little more careful after that. I love being naked in the sunshine. Clothes are for whimps!

Burley and Me

" Head out on the highway, looking for adventure, or whatever comes my way, BORN TO BE WILD..sing along with me...Born to be Wild"...I love taking rides on, or in rather, my new Burley. There is something about slipping on that helmet and taking off on the open road that makes my heart sing. Mommy likes it because she gets exercise. Great mode of transporation for sure!

A Visit to Earthshine Mt. Lodge

After I beeped the horn for several minutes, Mommy finally loaded up the car and we headed over to pick-up Geraldine and Gus, then we drove over to Earthshine Mt. Lodge, where Mom and Dad were married. I have seen pictures of the place and it really lived up to my expectations. As you can see is the following photos, we all had a fun visit.
Geraldine AKA THe GOOSE WHISPERER- she really knows how to handle a goose, who knew?

Farmer Gus and his farm hand assistant, Rion

Follow the leader, goat style. By the way, I made it all the way up the hill all by myself, although I did think I may have to ask the goat for a ride, it is a steep hill!

Gus was generous and fed the goat his crackers, and fed me a few too!

Aggressive Driver in the Making

Mom said we were going to Earthshine this morning but she doesn't seem to be in a rush to get going. Come on mom, hurry up! Hurry up!

Hoppy Easter!

Did you know the Easter Bunny lives in Aunt Brandi's nieghborhood? I got to meet him on Tuesday, just a few days before his big holiday. He wasn't exactly friendly, a bit stiff really, but mom said he was probably just preoccupied given Easter and all. He didn't even give me an egg. But that's OK, Grandad and Grandma and MiMi, all sent me lovely gifts in the mail, so I didn't need him anyway! Thanks grandparents! Miss you New Zealanders, eat lot's of jellybeans!

All Smiles in the Spring Sun

A Tribute to Sir Edmund Hillary

Like the great New Zealand climber, Sir Edmund Hillary, I prefer to go up, rather than down. Going "up" requires more stamina, more endurance and more guts! I have been trying for several weeks now to make it "up" a slide, any slide and today was my day! I set me sights on the top and went for it....

Amost there, almost to the top, but I must first stop for a photo op. Now, I just need a flag to place at the top and mark my success. Sir Ed would be proud.

Tractors Are Cool!

Getting bulldozed....

Big Wheels Keep on Turnin'...sing along with me....

Mommy and I should trespass more often. We find cool, fun things on other peoples property. Not only did I get to play on the tractor, I saw, 4 brown dogs, 5 horses and a donkey. Mommy didn't take a photo of the animals, sorry. We didn't want any more proof of our trespassing. The tractor could be anyone's tractor! There are no discernable marks, in fact, this is our tractor!
